A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of stealing tools from six vans in the St Albans area.
The 29-year-old suspect, who is from Hemel Hempstead, was arrested last Thursday and has been police bailed until July 15.
The thefts, involving the disappearance of power tools and other items, are believed to have all taken place on Wednesday June 2 in Harpenden and St Albans.
Police have issued crime prevention advice to help motorists protect themselves from thefts, including removing all valuables - such as Sat Navs and mobile phones - from empty cars.
