A 35 year old driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after he collided with a car in Wheathampstead this morning (Thursday).
Emergency services including two ambulance crews were called to Coleman Green Lane at the junction with Marford Road at about 9am after a black Chrysler Ypsilon collided with a silver Volvo.
The driver of the Chrysler Ypsilon, a woman in her 30s, had to be cut out of her car by the fire service and was taken to Lister hospital via land ambulance with minor injuries.
The man driving the Volvo was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and remains in custody at this time.
The road was closed by police and re-opened at about 11am.
