Motorists were stopped from entering an estate in St Albans this afternoon (Wednesday) while armed police were in the area following reports of a ‘domestic-related incident’.
A spokesman for Herts Police said that the force was called just after 4pm after an allegation was made about a threat of violence at an address at Oysterfields.
Officers from St Albans attended the incident and arrested a man for a public order offence. He has since been taken to Hatfield Police Station.
The police spokesman said that vehicles were prohibited from entering Oysterfields for 30 minutes while armed officers were at the scene.
He said that no one had been injured.
