A man and woman have been charged with theft following alleged shoplifting in St Albans

A man and woman have been charged with shoplifting in St Albans.

Katherine Ashworth, 38, of High Street Redbourn, and Ronald McKay, 38, of Wellside Road in Barnet, were arrested and charged with different shoplifting offences in St Albans.

McKay was arrested and charged earlier this year after £500 worth of electrical items were stolen from Sainsbury’s in Everard Close, but failed to appear at court on September 20. He was found and arrested again yesterday (Tuesday) in Dundee.

Ashworth was also arrested yesterday and charged with theft after she allegedly stole £200 of perfume and electrical items from Boots.
