THE M25 through St Albans is now reopen after being closed for more than six hours.

An accident involving four lorries and a van at 7am this morning closed the motorway between junctions 21a and 22 on the clockwise carriageway, causing long tailbacks for drivers heading into St Albans from the south.

The road was reopened at around 2pm.

Police are yet to release any details of the casualties.
