Commuters will face congestion travelling on the M1 towards Luton following a car crash this morning.
The accident took place between junctions 10 and 11 northbound but traffic has built up back to junction 9.
St Albans drivers should leave 20 minutes earlier than usual and the delay is not expected to clear until 8.15am.
There is also traffic on the M1 southbound entry slip road at junction 10, and this is causing about 10 minutes of queueing.
