Five organisations have been shortlisted as Luton Airport’s new charity partner.
The airport is asking members of the public to vote for their fundraising beneficiary for 2018 and 2019. The shortlisted charities are Alzheimer’s Research UK, Level Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Mind BLMK.
The new partner will follow Luton Airport’s successful partnership with Keech Hospice Care. During their two-year partnership, the airport raised more than £90,000 for the hospice, beating their target of £50,000.
Events this year included the airport’s first ever ‘runway run’, and a sponsored cycle to Amsterdam which raised more than £50,000. An airport spokesman praised the “fantastic efforts of staff, passengers and airport partners”.
Voting closes at 12pm on Friday, December 1. To vote go to https://www.london-luton.co.uk/charity-partners
