Luton Airport

RESIDENTS in St Albans have been reminded that Luton Airport representatives will be presenting expansion plans at the old Town Hall, Market Place, tomorrow, Wednesday September 26 from 3-8pm.

St Albans district council asked for the additional exhibition to be held in the city following requests from residents concerned about the airport’s plans to double passenger numbers to 18 million a year.

The exhibition is one of eight being held in areas potentially affected by the airport’s expansion plans.

Cllr Teresa Heritage, portfolio holder for planning, said: “As was the case for the Harpenden exhibition earlier in September, this is a good opportunity for local people to find out more about the airport’s proposals, ask questions and comment.”
