A FAMILY heirloom which disappeared after its owner and her family went to a Christmas show in St Albans has been found and returned.

Mrs Helen Little, of Sherwood Avenue, St Albans, lost her silver bracelet in late December after she and some of her relatives had been to see the Company of Ten's Christmas show at the Abbey Theatre.

It had little monetary value but it belonged to her mother and was the only piece of her jewellery the family had left as a result of her house being burgled shortly after she died.

The family searched everywhere for the bracelet including the Abbey Theatre itself and in the car park bins without success.

But following an appeal for its safe return in the Herts Advertiser, the bracelet has been returned anonymously to the family home.

He added: "A huge number of people stopped us to ask about it after reading about it in the Herts Advertiser
