Lorry overturns in St Albans

A LORRY overturned this morning (Monday) causing traffic chaos at a busy roundabout.

The accident involving an artic lorry and a white van happened at around 10am along Coursers Road in London Colney leading up to the busy Bell Roundabout.

Ambulance crews from St Albans attended the scene and took the lorry driver to the QE2 Hospital with slight injuries, while the driver of the van escaped without harm.

Police closed the road and the blockage still remained at midday while recovery was taking place.
