A staff member from Sainsbury’s London Colney took on a 58km trek to raise money for charity.
Heather Nunn, 23, travelled to Iceland to take part in a trek over mountainous terrain, and has already raised £2,000 for mental health charity MIND.
After recently losing a friend, Heather chose to support MIND to raise awareness in his honour. The four-day long trek involved crossing paths with volcanoes, waterfalls, lava fields and fjords.
MIND provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, and campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Heather said: “I want to help break the stigma attached to mental health illnesses and encourage people to reach out and ask for help.”
