A popular paddling pool has been deep cleaned after concerns that the water was making children ill.
London Colney Parish Council (LCPC) closed the splash area in Morris Playing Fields on Tuesday morning after two youngsters who had enjoyed it had diarrhoea.
It has been completely drained and refilled, using new chemicals, to make sure any virus has gone.
The pool reopened this morning.
A spokesperson from the council said parents have been very supportive and understanding of the situation.
On its Facebook page, LCPC said: “With the lovely weather we’ve been having, the paddling pool has been incredibly well used.
“We test the water quality of the pool three times a day, and a record of chlorine and pH levels are made.”
The council asked parents to make sure small children using the pool wear aqua nappies.
