THE brightly-lit "Christmas House" which has become an annual feature in Beech Road, St Albans, in recent years and which attracts sightseers from around the district, raised £2,000 for charity this year. Denise and Paul Mansell, who on the house, put a collection box outside for those who have come to see the lighting effects. This year the money is being spent on items for the St Albans Jubilee Centre for the elderly and Heathlands School for the deaf.
