Some of the UK’s top health professionals are giving a talk in St Albans next month to celebrate the National Health Service.
St Albans Liberal Democrats have organised an event called ‘NHS at 70’ to mark the service’s anniversary year.
The speakers include a chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners; a former CEO of the Royal College of Nursing; the chief pharmacist at the National Pharmacy Association; and Liberal Democrat MP and Science and Technology Select Committee chair Norman Lamb MP.
The talk is from 7pm to 8.15pm on Monday, January 15 at Marlborough Road Methodist Church.
Spaces are free and tickets should be booked in advance via www.stalbanslibdems.org.uk/nhs70 or by calling 01727 855523.
Lib Dem candidate Daisy Cooper said: “This is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of one of our most loved institutions.”
