A St Albans leisure centre is hosting a children’s Christmas party, giving parents a chance to do some last-minute Christmas shopping.

Westminster Lodge, which is operated by Everyone Active, is holding the party from 10am to midday on Saturday, December 23. Children aged five to eight will take part in structured games with a bouncy castle, parachute and soft play area, while children over eight will participate in sports games. Children under five are also welcome, but their parents must remain on site.

General manager Lesley Garner said: “The Christmas holidays are an exciting time for youngsters and families alike, so we are delighted to be hosting a Christmas party.

“We look forward to welcoming the younger members of our community into the centre and spreading the festive cheer, whilst enabling parents to finish any last-minute Christmas errands!”

The party costs £5 per child.
