Thieves made off with cash and two laptops after a break-in near Bricket Wood.

The items were taken from a house in Black Boy Wood between 8am and 3pm on Thursday, January 14.

Police are now appealing for witnesses with any information.

DC Paul Cullinan said: “Black Boy Wood is a busy thoroughfare with a lot of people walking to and from Bricket Wood train station and I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time to please contact me if they saw anything suspicious.”

DC Cullinan also advised those in the area looking to protect their property not to leave house keys hidden outside the front door,
