Lanes beginning to reopen after fire on the M1 near St Albans

Herts Police have reopened some of the lanes shut after a lorry fire on the M1 northbound near to St Albans
They were called at 3.53pm to a crash involving multiple vehicles on the M1, just before junction 8.
When they arrived, a lorry was on fire, so they took the decision to close the motorway.
They have now opened two lanes to ease traffic, and are still at the scene.
East of England Ambulance service say they dispatched a rapid response vehicle, with an ambulance officer and crew, to the crash.
It is reported four to five people were there, none of whom sustained serious injuries.
An ambulance has gone to Hemel Hempsted Hospital, but it is not known how many people have gone with it.
There are still queues heading out of London.
