A lack of staff is causing train disruption on the Abbey Flyer this morning (May 23).

Shuttle services between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey, known as the Abbey Flyer, may be delayed or cancelled throughout the whole morning - until 3pm - because train crews are not available to run it.

However, a replacement bus is being organised for affected commuters and tickets will be accepted on the Arriva 321 in both directions.

Cawing and croaking these big, black birds clung clumsily to the top most branches and twigs, jostling and flapping to stay balanced in a constant flurry of feathers. There is always something ominous about crows – they are after all carrion crows, the vultures of the bird world – always watching for scraps and weakness that might mean their next meal.
