LABOUR candidate Jacob Quagliozzi was elected in yesterday’s by-election in London Colney’s South West ward.

Cllr Quagliozzi received 323 votes and Conservative party candidate Mark Winstone came second with 203 votes. The Green Party’s Mary Warren received 47 votes.

The turnout to select the new parish councillor was 25.87 per cent.
