ABOUT £4,000 worth of jewellery, perfume and stereo equipment was recently stolen from a home in a St Albans village.
Police are seeking information about the burglary, which occurred on Cavendish Road, Markyate, on Saturday February 9 between 11am and 8pm.
A spokeswoman said offenders gained access to the village property via an unlocked gate and stole a pair of garden shears from an insecure greenhouse.
They then smashed a small window leading to the kitchen to break into the house, where they stole a number of items including watches and an iPod.
Anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen items should phone assistant investigator Kevin Deudon on non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
