Actor and comedian Jessica Hynes, star of Spaced, The Royle Family and W1A, had fun while visiting a secondary school in St Albans, where she praised pupils for being ‘fantastic’.
Jessica spoke with children from Years 7-13 at Beaumont School, Oakwood Drive, about script writing and even indulged in a slow motion race, to the amusement of staff and pupils.
A spokeswoman for Beaumont said: “Jessica Hynes tweeted last summer that she was willing to donate 20 days of her time to visiting arts departments at state schools.
“We were fortunate enough to be one of her chosen schools. Jessica spent the day in the drama department, where she observed lessons, spoke to children and joined in a slow motion race!”
The star later tweeted Beaumont drama, saying that it was a ‘complete pleasure’ visiting the school’s “fantastic students and great deparment. Such a fun day!”
