ALBANIAN men allegedly involved in human trafficking were arrested in St Albans today.

As part of an investigation into European human trafficking conducted by Kent police, six men were arrested in raids across Britain at addresses in St Albans, Walsall in the West Midlands and across London.

Those arrested have been transferred to North Kent police station, where they will be questioned.

French police have also arrested a number of people linked to the investigation.

Detective Inspector Eddie Fox said: ”This is part of a long term inquiry and we have been working closely with our French law enforcement colleagues. The close collaboration between the forces of the two countries shows that criminals cannot escape justice by crossing international boundaries.”
