A drink driver from St Albans has fined and banned from getting behind the wheel for 30 months.

Hubert Pabis, 40, admitted driving a BMW 5 Series in Hatfield Road, St Albans, while over the drink drive limit on March 24 this year.

Pabis had 128 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Pabis, of Hatfield Road, appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on April 13.

He was fined £500.

He was also ordered to pay victim services £50 and £85 court costs.

The defendant was banned from driving for 30 months.

The disqualification was obligatory for the offence, but could be reduced by 30 weeks if Pabis takes part in a course approved of by the Secretary of State.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account when the court imposed the sentence.
