Police are investigating the discovery of a dead cat found this morning in a suburban street.
The animal’s body has now been removed by police from where it was discovered in Hatfield Road, St Albans.
A spokesperson from Herts police said: “We can confirm today we received a report regarding the body of a cat on Hatfield Road, St Albans, that had been found in circumstances requiring further investigation.
“Enquiries are still in the early stages and we are working to establish the potential cause of death.

It is not yet known if this is connected to a series of cat killings in Croydon and the Home Counties.
