A woman in her 20s was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital yesterday (Monday) after being thrown off a horse in Redbourn.
Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said crews were called to Redding Lane at 11.32am.
An ambulance crew and the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) attended the scene.
Gary said: “The woman, who we believe to be in her 20s, sustained injuries to her head and chest and had breathing problems.
“Our crew worked closely with the critical care team from the helicopter and following further assessments, she was able to travel by land to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital for further care.”
