A HOAX caller sparked a bomb scare today (Monday) at Watford General Hospital.

Police were called to the scene at around 11am after a member of staff received a phone call from someone claiming that a bomb was inside the building.

The hospital was not evacuated but the police conducted a thorough search which did not reveal anything suspicious.

Everything was back to normal by the afternoon.
