A HIGH-speed car chase across two counties involving a police helicopter ended in a man being stopped and arrested in St Albans this afternoon (Wednesday).

City-centre roads were sealed off as police officers in several police vehicles - marked and unmarked - tracked the vehicle.

The driver of a high-performance grey BMW 530d SE saloon was tracked from Beds across the county border and eventually forced to a halt in Lattimore Road, St Albans.
