The free session at The Secret Garden Caf in George Street, St Albans, gave children the chance to make and design their very own kite to fly at a dedicated event next month.
It's part of national drawing campaign the Big Draw, which is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. A range of other similar events, organised by Leisure Connection's Arts Development Team, are still to take place in St Albans, Wheathampstead, Harpenden and London Colney.
Every session is building up to a kite-flying day at Nomansland Common, Wheathampstead, on November 1 between 11am and 3pm.
The activities are free and ideal for all abilities and age groups, although children must be accompanied by an adult.
For further information on the remaining events in St Albans, Wheathampstead, Harpenden and London Colney, call Melissa Caneppele on 01727 827667 or email saash.arts@leisureconnection.co.uk
