Budding Sherlock Holmes's are being given the opportunity to get their detective hats on afterthe launch of a new app in Hertfordshire.
Facewatch ID is a free app that allows people to work with Herts Police in identifying wanted people in the area, using their post code or current location.
Users enter their post code or have their location identified and search through local profiles of people whom Herts Police would like to speak to.
People can alter the location radius by up to 50 miles, and if they spot someone they recognise, they can fill out an anonymous form to pass on details to the police.
Police and Crime Commissioner for Herts, David Lloyd, said: “I believe policing in the county is everybody’s business and as such everyone should play their part in tackling crime and keeping criminals off our streets.”
The app is available on all Apple and Android devices.
