Have your say on plan for St Albans parish

PUBLISHED: 05:42 18 March 2015

Consultation is underway for the St Stephen parish’s neighbourhood plan area.

Finalisation of the plan will take up to two years but once brought into legal force, it becomes part of the statutory development plan for the area, against which planning applications will be judged.

The plan area follows the parish boundary.

Go to http://stalbans-consult.limehouse.co.uk/portal/ to comment on the application - consultation ends on March 30.

The parish council is holding a neighbourhood plan workshop at the parish centre on March 31, when residents who have expressed an interest in being involved will have the opportunity to learn more about it.

I should probably have taken the hint! Walking out into the garden recently an unprecedented flock of thirty or more crows raucously greeted me from the treetops at the bottom of my garden. Cawing and croaking these big, black birds clung clumsily to the top most branches and twigs, jostling and flapping to stay balanced in a constant flurry of feathers. There is always something ominous about crows – they are after all carrion crows, the vultures of the bird world – always watching for scraps and weakness that might mean their next meal.
