ST ALBANS community broadcaster Radio Verulam needs your help to improve its services.

Following the official opening of its new studios by the new Mayor, Cllr Maxine Crawley and Holby City actress Rosie Marcel the increased reach of Radio Verulam throughout Hertfordshire is enabling its listening audience to expand from its previous estimate of 50,000 per month.

The station’s main aim is to provide interesting topics relevant to the local community mixed with easy listening music, including a regular slot featuring Herts Advertiser editor Matt Adams on John Stephenson’s Friday Focus each week. It now wants to learn from listeners what sort of programmes they want to hear and if there are any features they would like changed.

To encourage as many responses as possible, they are offering two free dinners to three winning entries drawn from the responses received. You can complete the survey on-line on both Radio Verulam’s web site or ours at www.hertsad24.co.uk and irrespective of how the respondent completes the survey, they will be entered into the draw. Radio Verulam would also be interested in hearing from anyone interested in joining its existing 40 volunteers to assist the station.

You can tune into Radio Verulam on 92.6 FM 24 hours per day, seven days a week and to volunteer you can get in touch by telephoning the studio on 01727 839926.
