LADIES Circler Emma Taylor took the plunge in more ways than one when she rode the Pepsi Max Big One in Blackpool dressed in a decorated bra and pink tutu.
Emma, of Harpenden Ladies Circle, joined Circlers from all over the UK who donned their bras and tutus to raise awareness of The Genesis Appeal, the only charity dedicated entirely to the prevention of breast cancer.
A past chairman of Harpenden Circle and area chairman this year of the Circles in St Albans, Harpenden, Radlett and Welwyn, Emma said: “The Genesis Appeal is really important to me. Too many women have lost their lives to the terrible disease that is breast cancer.
“So when I heard that Ladies Circlers from all over the UK would get the chance to ride the Pepsi Max Big One in our bras and tutus, I leapt at the chance. Whatever we do in Circle, we have fun doing it. And this was certainly a different way to raise money -and awareness of The Genesis Appeal - so how could I say no.”
The Pepsi Max Big One at 235ft is one of Europe’s tallest and Blackpool’s biggest, fastest and scariest rollercoaster - and what worried the girls most of all was staying in their bras which they all managed without any wardrobe malfunctions.
