Footballers have been fully onside throughout the season when it came to raising funds for a UK charity.
Harpenden Town Football Club raised £300 for the Prostate Cancer UK, which was presented to charity volunteer, Steve Gledhill, at the end of season match in Rothamsted Park.
Most of the money was raised during a national event in October 2015, a non-league day which focuses on local clubs instead of Premier League teams.
The remaining money was then donated during the season.
Club chairman, Roman Motyczac, who handed over the money, said: “Prostate cancer is a very important cause; in the UK about one in eight men will get prostate cancer at some point in their lives and there is no national screening programme.
Mr Gledhill thanked the club for the donation and congratulated the team on having a successful season.
