When swimming teacher Sally Hall hit the big 60, her colleagues at Harpenden swimming pool wanted to help her celebrate the auspicious birthday.

So they joined her in taking part in the Dragon Boat Festival which is held in Cambridge in support of Addenbrookes Charitable Trust

Sally has competed in the festival for many years and 11 of her colleagues from the pool representing operators 1Life joined her for this year’s event.

Over 45 teams took part on the day, collectively raising over £8,500 for the charity. The 1Life team came in a very credible eighth place overall.
