Teachers and school staff learnt a lesson in stamina by completing a 10K to raise money for their primary.

Sixteen staff members at Sauncey Wood Primary School took on the Wheathampstead 10K around the Marford Playing Fields on May 12.

They trained by running around the school's Daily Mile Track and would like to raise £2,500 to pay for pupil trips, new equipment and creative learning at the school.

Organisers of the race personally congratulated the team on its Facebook page: "We want to give a massive shout out to the fantastic teachers and staff from Sauncey Wood Primary School - who joined us today to raise some excellent funds for their school.

"We love a good run to raise funds for local schools so we salute you!"

The event as a whole raises money for Beech Hyde Primary School and Nursery.
