Police have closed Harpenden Road after a crash involving a car and a motorbike.

A motorcyclist has been injured after a crash involving a car in St Albans.

Emergency services were called to Harpenden Road at 12.08pm after reports of a car colliding with a motorbike.

The injured motorcyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance services.

Police closed the road because of petrol leaking onto the carriageway, with fire crews also in attendance.

The road remains closed.
