A Harpenden photographer has received a gold award from the Guild of Photographers for his still life image of blueberries.
Steve Collins, who has accumulated 55 bronze and silver ‘Image of the Month’ awards over the last two years, was also awarded lifetime membership of the Guild’s Photographers Bar.
Guild director Lesley Thirsk said: “Reaching the required standards to become a member of the Photographers Bar is very demanding. It illustrates his commitment, skill and consistency. Steve should be very proud of what he has achieved!”
Fewer than 250 photographers have joined the Photographers Bar since its inception four years ago.
Steve, who is also a member of Harpenden Photographic Society, said: “I am thrilled to be recognised by the Guild as having reached such a high standard, and now achieving a Gold Award as well is the icing on the cake.”
