A NURSERY was transformed into a hub of fun activities on Saturday in order to raise money for charity.

Between 100 and 150 people turned up to Busy Bees Nursery in Harpenden to take part in a range of different fun activities put on by staff in order to support and raise money for Help for Heroes, the charity devoted to helping wounded servicemen and women into the next phase of their lives.

The main attraction of the fun day was the Zoofari, which included animals such as meerkats, wallabies and Monty the Python.

There was also a bouncy castle, face-painting, a raffle, a cake stall and t-shirt designing and the event resulted in over 350 being raised for the charity.

Busy Bees Nursery has already held up to six fun days for Help for Heroes and plans to continue raising money for the charity.
