A Harpenden model is proving she has brains as well as beauty by hosting a fundraising pub quiz to help disadvantaged children around the world.
Jenny Gray, 22, who lives in Harpenden, will be battling for the Miss Hertfordshire title at the competition’s finals at Hatfield House on Sunday, April 13, and in the lead-up will be supporting the Beauty with a Purpose charity with a brainbusting event in St Albans.
Jenny’s fundraising quiz will be held on Friday, April 4, at 7.45pm at the St Albans Conservative Club in Hatfield Road, and questions will be focused on music and entertainment.
She said: “Hosting a charitable event is a first for me, but Beauty with a Purpose is such a worthwhile charity I’m hoping we can raise lots of money. I am delighted to be a part of this year’s Miss Hertfordshire competition and it’s fantastic that everyone involved is working hard for such a great cause.”
Jenny is one of 25 finalists in this year’s Miss Herts competition, and the winner will be put through to the Miss England finals later this year. The entrant who raises the most money will be crowned Miss Charity and will win a place in the Miss England semi-finals.
Tickets to the pub quiz cost £5 on the door, and include a buffet. Teams should be between four and seven people, and to book a place email beautyquiz@radioverulam.com
