A Harpenden man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his car.
Emergency services were called to House Lane in Sandridge at around 10.30pm last night after the 34-year-old lost control of his silver Audi and hit a lamppost.
The driver was taken to hospital and was accompanied by police who also recovered his vehicle.
He is currently on police bail until July 31.
