Harpenden summer fete raises £2,000 with trapeze rigs

Children had a whale of a time trying out trapeze at a Harpenden junior school’s summer fete.
Hundreds of youngsters tried out the two static, outdoor rigs set up by St Albans Trapeze and Aerial Arts at The Grove Junior School’s annual summer fair on June 30.
More than £2,000 raised from the circus antics will go towards the Harpenden school.
Head of the PTA at The Grove Junior School, Clare Ramsay, said: “We had a superb day with fantastic activities provided from some of the best, local children’s activity providers in Harpenden currently. St Albans Trapeze put smiles on hundreds of children’s faces.”
There was also a variety of arts and craft stalls, refreshments and performances throughout the afternoon - including samba, street, and country dancing,
The winner of Grove’s Got Talent, a gymnast from Year 3, also performed for the school.
