Charities will be pitching to local philanthropists at a crowdfunding event in Harpenden on Thursday.
The Funding Network is hosting a Dragon’s Den-style charity event at Rothamsted Conference Centre from 6pm on June 8, with CHIPS, Resolve, The Gifted and ActOne ArtsBase bidding for support.
Guests will listen to the pitches provided by the charities’ representatives and place a donation on their selected good cause in an auction event afterwards.
Event organiser Richard Sved said: “I am delighted that thanks to a fantastic launch in St Albans last year, we’re able to expand the reach of TFN across Hertfordshire.
“Now people throughout the county have the unique opportunity to hear from fantastic local causes directly, as well as enjoying a fun and inspiring evening. I hope that our success in bringing together causes struggling for funding and people who would like to support them, continues this year and for many years to come.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased for £10 via The Funding Network’s website. Entry price includes refreshments.
