PLAYING a round of golf in nothing but their boxer shorts was a chilly experience for a group of local fundraisers.
Organised by The Everyman Male Cancer Campaign and Heart 97.6 FM, around 50 men took part in the charity tournament at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club in Harpenden to raise money for the Everyman male cancer campaign.
Teams from all over Beds, Bucks and Herts took part in the competition on bank holiday Sunday and each player wore his Everyman boxer shorts, designed especially by Heart FM, to show their support for the campaign.
The sponsored players raised a total of 3,600 on the day, an achievement which Paul Holmes of Heart 97.6 FM said he was proud of: "As well as being a fun event, we managed to raise a nice amount for the charity and I'm sure we'll look to do something even bigger along the same lines next year".
