A fun run for families and their four-legged friends is set to take place in Harpenden to raise money for charity.

The Harpenden Family Fun Run and Doggy Jog will be held at Rothamsted Park on Saturday, September 5.

Activities will be spaced around a 1.3km course for children and dogs, including a 'clue quest' for children to find along the way and obstacles and mini-challenges for dogs - although those without a pet are still invited to take part.

The event will raise money for the town mayor's chosen charities - the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Charity, which is raising money for the children's ward and neonatal unit at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, and The Harpenden Trust, in recognition of its support of the vaccine programme.

Starting slots are at 10am, 10.15am or 10.30am and tickets cost £3.50 per person, with adults accompanying children going free.
