An author and IT expert will be giving a talk to parents tomorrow about how to ensure their children surf safely on the internet.

David Clark will be speaking at the Slug and Lettuce in Harpenden High Street and offering his advice on how to cope with parenting challenges in the age of social media and online communication.

The event has been organised by ChristChurch in Harpenden and David will look at how parents and guardians can navigate such a difficult issue with practical help from the church.

The Rev Gareth Lewis, Senior Minister at ChristChurch, said: “We are delighted that David is coming to Harpenden to speak at this event about a topic that is highly relevant to so many people bringing up children in the town.

“The internet provides a wonderful opportunity but one that we need to fully understand to ensure that our children are surfing safely.”

The event will start at 8pm and tickets at £3 including snacks are available from Leanne Smyth.
