Disabled people from Harpenden have been treated to a subsidised ski trip with a local charity.
Holiday charity Jumbulance Trust took a coach of nine disabled people to Niederau in Austria, along with carers, nurses, and special instructors.
Two volunteers from The Shanley Foundation (TSF) also joined the group, since TSF has donated almost £32,000 to the charity since 2008.
Technical co-ordinators at Shanly Homes Rocio Lozano said: “I love skiing and am so pleased to be enjoying the activities with people with limited mobility, who may never have done the sport before.”
His colleague at Shanley Homes, Charlie Simon, added: “Everyone should have the opportunity to experience skiing. I’m happy to be helping and making everyone’s holiday easier and more enjoyable.”
