A hearing care professional from Harpenden has scooped a prestigious European award for his work in the industry.
Robert Beiny, an audiologist at the Hearing Healthcare Practice, was named European Audiologist of the Year just weeks after being announced as the UK Audiologist of the Year.
The judges were inspired by the impact Robert has had on his patient Christine’s life over the past 15 years. Without Robert’s support Christine, who has severe hearing loss in both ears, believes she would not be where she is today with a successful 46 year career in public service,
Christine, who nominated Robert for the award, said: “For 15 years, Robert has managed to keep pace with my hearing loss by fitting me with the latest aids that have given me an edge in the hearing world.”
Robert said: “I’m stunned and honoured to have won the European Audiologist of the Year Award.”
