MEMORIAL events are held at Grove House three times a year to help people remember family members and friends in a safe and familiar environment.

Bereavement can affect people in many different ways and Grove House recognises that for some people giving time and space to think of family and friends can be a helpful way to remember and grieve. It may also be the time to say goodbye and thank you to Grove House.

The next memorial event will take place at Grove House at 2.30pm on Monday, July 12. There will be an opportunity to join others for half an hour of reflection, readings and poetry followed by refreshments and the opportunity to talk to staff and volunteers.

These events are free and inclusive and open to those of all faiths or none, relatives and friends of patients who have had contact with any one of the Grove House services and have been bereaved for over three months.

Families and friends who have attended memorial events in the past often comment how helpful it is to be invited back to Grove House and have the opportunity to chat to staff and volunteers in calm and peaceful surroundings. For further information contact Andrew Pattman on 01727 731023.
