ST ALBANS: The Green Party has acquired its first-ever parish councillor in the district.
As there are the same number of candidates as vacancies for Redbourn parish council, local resident Tom Hardy has made history for the Green Party by being co-opted on to it.
Mr Hardy said: “As a local resident I’m looking forward to making my contribution to a cleaner, greener, happier Redbourn.”
The Green Party has a record 21 candidates standing in 23 district and parish council seats in the May 5 elections.
