PRESTIGIOUS Green Flag awards will be flying high in three St Albans parks and on Harpenden Common. For the third year in succession, St Albans council has been awarded Green Flags for Clarence Park, Rothamsted Park and Sopwell Nunnery for excellent use of green space, well-managed facilities and a high standard of safety and security.
Harpenden Town Council has been awarded a Green Flag for the common for the fourth year running and a Green Pennant – part of the same scheme – has been awarded to Hanstead Wood in Bricket Wood.
